一 |     Aryan Khan has once again landed in trouble after a complaint was filed against him for flashing his middle finger at a crowd during an event in Bengaluru on November 28. Advocate Owaiz Hussain S, a resident of Sankey Road, submitted a complaint to the Director General of Police, the Bengaluru City Police Commissioner, The DCP, the Inspector of Cubbon Park Police Station, and the Karnataka State Women's Commission and sought the registration of an FIR against Shah Rukh Khan's son.          Owaiz claimed that Aryan's gesture was obscene and mentioned in his complaint that since several women were present at the venue, he 'insulted their modesty'. He also claimed that the gesture of showing his middle finger caused public discomfort, embarrassment, emotional distress and alleged that it reflected poorly on Bengaluru as a 'safe and dignified public environment.' The video, now viral on social media, shows Aryan casually flashing his middle finger, seemingly as a playful gesture directed at his friends in the crowd. Can I file a complaint against it?"     "Judge should fine the complainant for wasting courts time," added another user. A proposal to this effect submitted by Justice, Prison Affairs and Constitutional Reforms Minister Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe was approved by the Cabinet on Monday, the Daily FT newspaper said.
“Considering the long time to obtain the ‘Certificate of Absence’ and given that Rs. 100,000 is inadequate, the Cabinet of Ministers approved to remove the requirement to obtain this certificate provided the Office of Reparations had confirmed that a person is indeed missing, and also to increase the one-time allowance paid to the next of kin from Rs. 100,000 to Rs. 200,000,” an official statement said.
The allowance is paid to families of missing persons based on the ‘Certificate of Absence’ issued for missing persons by the Registrar General. Up until now, families had to present this certificate to the next of kin to obtain the allowance.
Thousands are considered missing in Sri Lanka in the wake long years of a Tamil separatist conflict that ended in 2009.
